A Bedtime Ritual

I bought this book for my son back in September - about eight months ago. I did not realize it was a board book at the time. My son was turning four in September, so I had started to veer away from board books. Needless to say, this one was a good purchase. I have read it to my son in both English and Spanish every night before he goes to bed for the last eight months. When he goes to stay with his cousins or his grandmother, it goes with him (but they only read the English part). We all know the book verbatim, but it is my son's favorite. Clifford needs his doll....Bob needs his doll. Clifford needs his bear....Bob needs his bear. etc... We make sure Bob has his doll, bear, blanket, drink of water, and of course his good night kiss with every turn of the page. It has become a bedtime ritual. He was really difficult to get to bed at night, but this book has really helped a lot with the transition of being awake to going to sleep.

Bed time reassurance

This book is working brilliantly for my 13 month old daughter's bed time routine. We've had heaps less tears since we've been reading Clifford last thing at night. She absolutely adores the other Clifford board books too.

Great Book for Toddlers

My Daughter can't get enough of Clifford the Big red Dog. She loves this book. AfterI read it to her she loves to sit there and look at this big colorful pictures in the book and call out each characters name. This is a must get for your toddler.

Nice story

This was a cute book. My son hates to go to bed at night so with a little help from his friend Clifford, he is able to see what Clifford's mommy does for him to prepair for bedtime. It is a short book so it fits our three book limit each night.

The perfect bedtime story

Clifford's Bedtime is our favorite "Small Red Puppy" board book. Every child (and parent) can identify with Clifford's bedtime needs: his blanket and favorite toys, a drink of water, and a good-night kiss. Norman Bridwell's simple illustrations are a perfect accompaniment to this story, which you will soon be able to recite by heart!
