Clifford The Champion

//Clifford, the Big Red Dog// has been an icon of great love and loyalty amongst his young audience for many years. In this particular volume, Clifford and Emily Elizabeth go to the park to join "America's Super Dog Contest." Clifford definitely makes a grand entrance with his size and color; however, the duo soon realizes that the obstacle course and the contest grounds were not really designed for huge dogs like him. Clifford puts his best paws forward to compete with the other dogs despite the incongruity and the challenges presented to him. As is characteristic of our big red furry friend, Clifford makes the most out of the competition with great spirit, even though he is clearly going to finish last. A twist in the end reveals that despite his imperfection, Clifford still manages to be the champion to his readers and their hearts. Reviewed by Kaye Cloutman

My children loved this book....

My children will love this book! I would read simular books of this book to them a lot when they were young. I have five children at different ages. Four out of the five are now teenagers and one is six. They were always excited about the dog being so huge! This book I am sure will be a good picture book for young children. And it is an enjoyment to read the clifford books. I highly recommend this book to those that are looking for a good childrens book!
