Clay Mice 2 is actually the second volume of Clay Mice. The book contains a series of photographs depicting mice engaged in various activities. The mice themselves are made from fired clay, along with modeling material. The theme of the book is humor and satire. The mice are basically three dimensional versions of original cartoon characters. The book is in a comic book format, including narrative text and speech/thought bubbles. Similar characters may be created from a variety of materials, such as firing clay, plasticine and "baker's clay," itself consisting of flour, water, salt, creme of tartar and vegetable oil. The props consist of materials found around the house and items from hobby kits such as model rockets, airplanes and the like.
