This story is based on the life of my daughter, Claudia. It takes place over sixty years in the lives of people who lived in the poverty and lawlessness of the Colombian jungles. Life expectancies were limited due to ignorance, disease and hunger. The central characters of this story accepted what they had no control over, but could never accept the absence of human dignity and love. Their lives demonstrate the resiliency of the spirit and the desire to make a better, easier, more loving life for the children of the new generations. Claudia was one of those people.
