I bought this while teaching in NY. This is my bible other than the REAL one. If I have a problem, I turn to the solution in this book. I read it before school starts and re-read it every couple of months during the school year trying out different techniques. My favorite chapter is #5 of course entitled The Professional Teacher. "Motivation refers to an inner drive that focuses behavior on a particular goal or task that causes the individual to be persistent in trying to achieve the goal or complete the task successfully." p.100
