A favorite old classic...

I bought six of my favorite childhood books for my great-grandson..."Little Black Sambo", "The Three Billy Goats Gruff", "Henny Penny", "Chicken Little", "The Three Little Kittens", and "Classic Tales of Brer Rabbit". My great-grandie is 2-1/2 and I can't wait to read these wonderful stories to him.

Just as I remembered...

I remember as a child many, many years ago listening to and reading these tales of trickery and hoodwinking with a great sense of fondness. I purchased this book for my own son and have enjoyed reliving these old-fashioned stories and re-acquainting myself with these clever, witty and crafty characters. This book has been adapted to a shortened version retold in a simplified english language that all will understand. The illustrations are large, bold and very colourful. This is a truely wonderful book of short stories and tales that will bring us many smiles in the years to come.

Great Book!

My four year old son absolutely loves this book. He really likes it when Brer Rabbit plays a trick on Brer Fox making him a sucker! The classic text is highlighted with excellent illustrations. This book is a joy.

HILARIOUS!!!!

I laughed so hard I couldn't believe it. Brer Rabbit is a character and you can't even be mad at his antics because even when Brer Turtle pulled the master trick of all tricks on him Brer Rabbit didn't even exchange words, he did what he'd told Brer Turtle he was going to do. (You have to read it to see what it was) Get this, your kids will love it and so will you.
