Memory comes in waves of image, sounds, tastes, smells, and feelings. One of my fondest childhood memories is of walking to the playground of the elementary school I attended with my Pappers; my paternal grandfather, Joseph J. Funyak. Pappers has Alzheimers disease and now lives in a shifting web of memory.
