A sexy, intense revenge story

I loved this book! The theme is revenge and an innocent heroine blackmailed into marriage, but the author puts a new twist on it. The story starts well with Claudia shocked to find herself being forced to marry a creep to save her father from prison. He is dying, which makes the whole thing very emotional for her and she has no choice. Then the hero - a super sexy Italian tycoon - turns up, and takes her mind off her delima nicely for a while. But they have a history - some of which she doesn't know about because of her evil and interfering family - and it soon turns out that he has his own agenda for weighing in on the situation. The sexual attraction being the two is hot, and even after she discovers that he's not all he seems she can't help falling into his arms. But he's not all bad. He takes care of her when she cries over her father and translates what the Italian doctors are saying. But he has a lot - I mean a lot - of emotional baggage to work through. Lucky for him Claudia is patient and forgiving, but still a strong character. But when he realises how wrong he got it and how he judged Claudia unfairly he really suffers - until she saves him from himself like his own personal angel. I loved the intensity of the story and enjoyed the interesting locations - London at Christmas, fogbound in a sea shore cabin, Turin in Italy where he comes from, and finally the sunny Caribbean. This is a good HP - an entertaining read and a great way to spend a couple of hours.
