Grateful for this story.

I hope those reading this can find a copy of this book somewhere. I'm so grateful to have read it years ago. I feel that it prepared me to stay centered and hopeful in these times (2026). I believe the story is set in the 2040's and the dystopian tale foretells how bad things could possibly get...some things eerily accurate and seemingly manifesting in real life today...though, I don't necessarily believe it will get this bad for most of us, there are some who are facing quite harsh and brutal realities. I wish everyone could hold this story in their bones, like a warm light of hope...we will get through. The characters and storylines really pull you in and are so dynamic. I really appreciate her style of alternating chapters, usually one that gets a little intense then the next one switches to a softer, lighter scene then back and forth. It made it possible to read before bed and choose to end on a softer note at any point :)
