The Shadowhunters rally to defeat Sebastian once and for all in the spellbinding, seductive sixth and final book in the New York Times and internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series. City of Fallen Heavenly Fire is a Shadowhunters novel. Darkness has descended on the Shadowhunter world. Chaos and destruction overwhelm the Nephilim as Clary, Jace, Simon, and their friends band together to fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary's own brother. Sebastian Morgenstern is on the move, systematically turning Shadowhunter against Shadowhunter. Bearing the Infernal Cup, he transforms Shadowhunters into creatures of nightmare, tearing apart families and lovers as the ranks of his Endarkened army swell. Nothing in this world can defeat Sebastian--but if they journey to the realm of demons, they just might have a chance... Lives will be lost, love sacrificed, and the whole world will change. Who will survive?
The pages are in good shape, but the jacket cover is missing. if I would have known that I would not have gotten it.

While this final installment in the series was a bit more serious to start - it had a lot to set up and some new characters to introduce - I thought it was very well done. By the end, there were definitely some things intentionally left open, but I think that was to prod you to read through The Infernal Devices and The Dark Artifacts series. However, if you essentially want to wrap up The Mortal Instruments with these characters and this story line, it’s well worth the time. So many twists and turns I didn’t see coming.
The book itself was in great condition. Had its book jacket and the corners of the hard cover were only slightly bumped. Just goes to show the previous owner took great care before rehoming it.
