Every believer is walking around with dual citizenship - and most don't know it.
In Citizenship According to the Kingdom: A Life of Governmental Authority, Dr. Greg Hood completes the journey he began in The Gospel of the Kingdom and Sonship According to the Kingdom. If the Gospel shows us the Kingdom, and Sonship shows us our identity in it, Citizenship shows us our function - the rights, responsibilities, and authority that come with being a citizen of Heaven stationed on Earth.
Hood unpacks what it actually means to live as an ambassador of another Kingdom while planted firmly in this one: how Kingdom citizenship differs from democracy, how culture is carried and established rather than merely observed, and how believers are meant to operate with governmental authority - not as spectators waiting for rescue, but as those actively bringing Heaven's culture to bear on Earth.
You'll discover:
Why the Kingdom of God is not a democracy, and what that means for how believers are meant to live and leadWhat it means to carry a "passport" as a citizen of Heaven and how that shapes your influence, boundaries, and identity hereThe difference between religion that codifies behavior and Kingdom culture that transforms itHow to function as an ambassador - carrying authority and influence into your sphere rather than waiting for the world to come to churchWhy humans were created for dominion, not defeat, and what that changes about daily lifeStraightforward, sometimes disruptive, and always rooted in Scripture and word-study depth, this book challenges readers to stop living like tourists in the Kingdom of God and start living like citizens who know their rights, their authority, and their assignment.
Citizenship According to the Kingdom is Book Three in the Kingdom trilogy, completing the set alongside The Gospel of the Kingdom and Sonship According to the Kingdom. Together, the three books walk readers from understanding the Kingdom, to knowing their identity within it, to living out their full authority and purpose as citizens of it.
