Action-packed reading

CINDY IN IRAQ: A CIVILIAN'S YEAR IN THE WAR ZONE is the author's account of her year as a truck driver in a country under siege - one of the most dangerous civilian jobs in the war zone. Morgan ledft everyone and everything behind to be a truck driver in Kuwait and Iraq, feeling it would give her the opportunity to make changes in her life. Her sons were teens and wanted accounts of all her experiences - so evolved a series of emails which form the foundation of this book, re-creating her experiences and providing charged, action-packed reading. Girl Power

I've read this book cover-to-cover in no time. Amazing account of happenings in Iraq with a slightly different perspective - one of a woman in a male-dominated industry, a mother of a soldier, and of a contracted driver. While I consider myself to be informed of world events, I definitely learned details that I otherwised missed - political relationships. Also this was written in a journal-type form, so while this was mostly about patriotism and accounts of events, it was also very personal - really giving a humanistic value to not only those serving for our nation, but those serving in assistance to those brave soldiers. I fully recomend this book to all Americans, regardless of political persuassion - it is enlightening.

Weird Reviews

I dont understand how some of the people who commented think that Cindy is against the troops or their mission. I doubt that they read the book. Nowhere in there does it come across as anti-military. People please read the book before you make crazy comments. This book has nothing to do with Cindy Sheehan!!

Riveting

This brave woman drove trucks for Halliburton in Iraq. A riveting first person account. A must read if you really want to know what is happening in Iraq
