Cinder Girl's Blush Moon Wishes: A Cinderella Retelling

There once lived a happy family in a wonderfully beautiful kingdom. This family had a little girl named Violet, who went to her window every night before bed and wished upon the Blush Moon. Her eyes danced as she gazed at the castle, so bright and warm. Tragedy befalls her, and the cook claims guardianship until Violet turns eighteen, when her family's fortune will be released. In the meantime, they work hard together, making it through day by day. Until one day, a royal invitation appears. And after the fallacy of the first, there came a second invitation; this one was called the Royal Masquerade Ball. This is the night when the prince will choose his wife. Though Violet is only fifteen, both invitations demanded all maiden's attendance or suffer a heavy monetary fine. The cook urges Violet to continue her wishes though she wanted her to wish for new clothes for the ball. Violet didn't believe in wishes anymore, and the thought of wishing to her dead parents didn't feel quite right. But she did as she was told. This is her story.
