Cincinnatus is a great book.

I really enjoyed reading "Cincinnatus: The Secret Plot to Save America" by Rusty McClure and David Stern. It is a very interesting book filled with a variety of interesting characters, intrigue, action, history, mystery, and places of interest. The book is a blend of both real and fictional characters. It held my suspense throughout the whole book, and I could not wait to read the final chapter and outcome. I was so intrigued by it, I read the book in 3 days. I highly recommend this book. It is a very well written book.

Great Story

I grew up in College Hill, Cincinnati not far from the Crosley mansion and now live in Wilmington not far from the Holiday Inn at the Roberts Centre. I have worked in Ibor City and Burbank. I had a hard time putting the book down, constantly looking for the next description of a location I recognized. I highly recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a great mystery adventure but especially to those living in the area.

Cincinnatus-A Masterpice

Cincinnatus-The Plot to Save America is an absolute masterpiece. This is spine tingling suspense from beginning to end. The characters seem so real that they just jump off the pages and I felt a real empathy for them. The venues, however, are real. It is amazing how all of the events are tied together by the end. I couldn't put this book down from the start. I would rate this book as a 5-star. I am looking forward to more books from Mr. McClure. It seems as though he has found his niche as a writer.

Best Book I read in 2010

I very much enjoyed the book; it was a definite page turner. I enjoyed all the aspects of the story: golf, banking, politics, history, murder, etc. It was refreshing, and led to a respectful lead character, not to have a sex scene. Finally a woman who can keep her head on straight and get the job done! I also enjoyed the fact that I was not able to guess the traitor - that was a big shock. How and why they were fixing golf tournaments was not revealed till the end. Most books you know in the beginning the good guys from the bad guys and the motive. Here till the very end you were not able to guess why they were fixing golf tournaments This was a book that took me two weeks to finish. That is a quick turnaround for me as I have no time to read!

Cool Mix of the Paranormal and Suspense

I'm not a fan of golf and plots involving secret historical societies don't usually spark my interest, however I have to say that this book is a real page turner. I really enjoyed it! It is a very exciting read. First there is the intriguing prologue involving the paranormal abilities of Ed Leedskalnin, this eccentric man who built this real mysterious place in South Florida called Coral Castle - a monument to unrequited love by the way. Then you are plunged straightaway into the life of Matt Thurman, a disgraced professional golfer who is framed for murder. Thurman meets up with a Department of Justice Attorney by the name of Espy Harper who is investigating the fixing of PGA Tournaments and together they delve deeper and deeper into a plot that twists and turns taking them all across the United States and to an exclusive island in the Bahamas. I couldn't wait to find out what happened and stayed up three nights in a row to finish the book. If you are looking for a good thriller that weaves lots of interesting layers like golf, professional golf, the paranormal, lost love (which is a major underlying theme), and a secretive historical society made up of descendents of the Continental Army, then pick this book up.
