The name Nyoirin known in Sanskrit as Cintāmaṇicakra is derived from two sacred objects held in the deity's hands: the Cintāmaṇi and the chakra. Cintāmaṇi: A mystical jewel that produces treasures at will and grants the sincere desires of sentient beings. Chakra: A wheel that represents the spreading of Buddha's teachings. It symbolizes the power to crush worldly desires and liberate beings from delusion. By utilizing these two items, this deity transforms the "suffering" of all living beings into "joy" and guides them toward enlightenment. Within the "Six Paths of Existence" (Hell, Hungry Ghosts, Animals, Asuras, Humans, and Devas), Cintāmaṇicakra is specifically associated with saving those in the Deva Realm (Celestial Realm). However, in practice, the deity is worshipped as an all-powerful Bodhisattva who offers salvation to beings in every realm.
