C.H.U.D. Containment Hazard Urban Disposal.

A 1984 B movie with second-string actors. Of course, Daniel Stern became a first-rate actor after playing the same part in “Home Alone” (1990). Sort of an urban version of “The H-Man” (1958), only Urban New York instead of Tokyo. Looks like underground dwellers seem to have gone missing. You can tell from the title of the movie that something is wrong, and you already suspect that they are monster-chow. Who “Who ya gonna call?” the local P.D. or some cabal of unidentified nasty government men? You guessed it, the local P.D., a soup kitchen connoisseur, and a photographer. Will they figure out the problem in time, or are there many more on the menu? Oh, no, there is a sequel! What does that tell you?
