Chronicles of the Imagination: The Emperor's Passage

By David Scott Fields II

Book Overview

Your sins will find you out

For nearly five thousand years, Emperor Seth has ruled the gentle people of Staranana with absolute cruelty. But when rumors reach him of a mysterious monarch named Lord Nimbus-one whose power may rival his own-Seth leaves Staranana and ventures into the unknown reaches of the universe to face his would-be rival.

Unfortunately, his journey takes an unexpected turn when he crash-lands on the primitive jungle world Loxa. Stripped of his authority, his dignity, and even his identity as emperor, Seth finds himself a prisoner of the primitive Kodi and the mysterious Shifters.

There, he is given a remarkable choice: walk the Path of Repentance or face the ultimate consequence for a lifetime of sin.

Along the path, Seth will be forced to relive five of the greatest sins of his long reign. Each encounter will challenge him to confront the choices that shaped his empire-and the man he has become. But even if Seth finds the courage to repent, another danger awaits. His master, Licen-the Devil himself-will not so easily surrender his most powerful servant.

For the first time in nearly five thousand years, Emperor Seth must face the consequences of his wicked life.

Can such a life so defined by sin truly be changed? Is repentance possible when the consequences of the past cannot be undone? And when the final choice comes, which path will he follow?

Life or death? Sin or righteousness?
