Detailed information on Indians Columbus met

You have correctly listed me as the author of CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS and the Age of Exploration in World History. Its selling features are that 1) it has more detail on the Indians Columbus met than any previous Columbus book and 2) it takes the modern view that Columbus was not mentally stable, particularly in his treatment of those Indians, if not morbidly ambitious before 1492. These are key sell points. I published a more significant book, A HISTORY OF THE AZTECS AND THE MAYAS AND THEIR CONQUEST (Macmillan, 1967, paperback) that still remains the most highly readable concise account in depth of an important historic period and the diverse peoples who made up the Indians of Mexico at that time. There is a false citation in my name placed by a person at Acclaim Books (now defunct) on an adaptation I wrote for Classics Illustrated comic books on The Invisible Man. This person cited herself, the artist, the original author (H G Wells) and me as THE AUTHOR. She released scores of citations on this work that are, in my opinion, not in the real world. Acclaim Books simply reprinted old hat from Classic Comics. The fact is, I wrote some 125 such adaptations. She has attached her name to one and broadcast it as if it were a major publication and she was integral to its writing. I have published literary articles and stories in national magazines like Partisan Review, Nation, Sewanee Review, Saturday Review, New Leader, etc and am marketing big book mss in a tough market.
