The author writes a charming collection of rhyming Christmas poems that reassure children of the existence of Santa Claus. These poems address the common questions asked by children while reminding them of the hopeful, happy feelings associated with Christmastime. Though each poem stands alone, they are all under the umbrella of holiday spirit. Deanne's whirlwind of writing rhyming poems began in 1968. Dedicated to her passion, she has been known to write a poem while standing on a crowded bus long ago while traveling to another city with her Sweet Adeline chorus. Always loving music, she wrote many lyrics, parodies, and poems during her 50 plus years as a Sweet Adeline. She was born in Corvallis, Oregon and has lived most of her life in Portland, Oregon. Children are continually an inspiration to her, having children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of her own. She knows that Santa Claus is often a big part of children's lives, which brought her to the new adventure of writing a children's Christmas book. It is Deanne's hope that this book will help children realize that kindness and giving brings joy. We all love to see children with happy hearts. Bless children everywhere.
