oh the sweet smell of Christmas!

Let me just say I keep holding it and staring at the book.. it is soooo pretty, but even more than that, it is a totally precious gift book that you will enjoy whether you enjoy tea or not. Susan Rios paintings are incredibly insightful and give you a fresh and warm feeling of Christmas throughout this book. Her paintings are touching and if you check out her site, you can even order some online! Emilie Barnes (one of my favorite organizational queens!) has some delightful ideas of how to host tea parties with complete recipes. There are 6 different "tea party" ideas in this book. And while I know this is a Christmas book. I think I may try one of these tea party ideas later in the year for fun with my girlies! :) There are cute tidbits of information such as "Did you know...? The Victorian rule of thumb for filling a Christmas stocking was "Something to eat, something to read, something to play with, and something they need!" Neat to know isn't it? It also gives some neat insight into readying each room for the party and Christmas traditions that go with it! So if you're looking for a fun book with some neat ideas! This one is it!

The Christmas Teas of Comfort and Joy is an excellent resource for the "tea party" I am preparing for ladies from my church this Christmas season. Included amidst the beautiful illustrations are ideas for food, decor, party favors, info about tea, recipes. All inclusive when planning a holiday tea.

A great gift idea.

I eagerly gazed upon the cover of Christmas Teas Of Comfort and Joy with visions of elegant gatherings dancing through my head. I can see it now: silk brocade, tiny cucumber sandwiches, twinkling lights, candles, and scones with clotted cream. Christmas Teas Of Comfort and Joy is a delightful book, filled with recipes and Christmas traditions. There are suggestions for Christmas films that are sure to help get you in the festive spirit. The helpful hints for creating an inviting atmosphere are wonderful. I will be ordering more of this book to give as Christmas gifts.
