A must read...this is great stuff

I know of very few writers that can recreate the "spirit of Christmas" the way Steven Roberts has done in "Christmas on Deery Street". If you want to spend a few hours reliving the best moments of your childhood, then you should read this book. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry; but most of all it will fill you with a longing for the goodness of humankind.

Steve Roberts' gift is touching hearts with unique characters, beautiful prose, and stories that cause us to recall our own childhoods. I laughed and cried and was always uplifted at the end. Bravo! Hopefully there will be another volume so I can reenter my childhood next Christmas.

What a terrific read! This is a very moving and compelling short selection from a clearly talented author with an particularly clear insight into the dynamics of family, love, and life. The story will elicit many, if not all, of your emotions, entertaining and massaging your attention and senses. It is a story that will cause you to reflect on your own memories and leave you warm and satisfied. You will find the descriptions are colorful and you will enjoy the easy while stimulating rhetoric that take interesting turns forcing a smile and maybe a tear. Do read this book, it will be good for you; and try around Christmas...preferably before Christmas...it will change yours. I typically do not write reviews, but this one demanded it. Seriously, you will see this author again, and soon, I hope. Enjoy.
