great book for children interested in horses

A very nice story about a boy growing up on a ranch in Idaho and the wild horse that he wants to catch and train as a cowpony. Includes authentic details about Idaho, including Boise, and what life is still like on a working ranch. Girls who like horses should also enjoy it. No violence, nothing offensive to anyone.
