The book takes the reader through a transition of gentle emotions, like a fine work of art. The book displayed human values that are hard to find today, compassion, sincerity, basic kindness etc. You will not go wrong with this story, buy it you will love it.
A great, short, relaxing and fun read for everyone. A good clean story. A different and uniquely American kind of Christmas story, suitable for all readers. Set in the Midwest in the late 1940's. A physically impaired man finds 3 orphans living in the old barn of a farm he recently purchased. He rescues the children from the collapsing barn and cares for them as best he can. He knows little about them and they won't tell him much, but they seem to know a great deal about him. The children have been fending for themselves since the previous owner died in a house fire. He brings the children into his house and cares for them even providing them with an extraordinary Christmas, with a little help from his new friends.
