Genesis chapter nineteen verses one says, "And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground." As we continue to read in the Scriptures we read where Lot convinced the two men to come into his house so that he could make them a feast. However, before they were able to lie down for the night the wicked men of Sodom, old and young surrounded Lot's house. The men of Sodom wanted the same men that Lot had invited into his home. Lot tried to discourage the wicked men by offering his daughters to them; however, they almost broke down his door when the two men pulled Lot into the house and shut the door. Once Lot was inside the two men gave the wicked men of Sodom both small and great blindness so that would weary themselves in trying to find the door. In Verses thirteen the angels told Lot that they were going to destroy this place. Lot had travelled to a place where the angels feared to walk, but they were ordered to go into Sodom. Therefore, Lot escaped with only himself and his two daughters for in Genesis chapter nineteen verses twenty-six we read where Lot's wife looked back at Sodom and was turned into a pillar of salt. So Lot lost everything including his wife. Believers will often walk into places and do things that they know are so wrong that even angels unless ordered fear to walk. Also, Christians will find themselves at a point in time where they will be sitting at the entrance to the gate of wickedness.
