A "must read" for anyone in a legalistic church.

I spent 20 years in a VERY legalistic Protestant church. Sabbath-keeping, double-tithing, and "the Minister is always right". Even then one felt threatened with damnation. If someone had given me a book like this, I might have had sweet liberty, as well as faith. Give a copy to any family member who is in a cult.

A timeless book that clearly defines the face of grace

My wife Kim and I read this book in the early 80's. Samuel possessed a wonderful ability to explain the mystery of God's grace in ways unfamiliar to me. It invoked my attention, desire and hunger to turn the pages again and again. In the end, the book so touched my life that I wrote Samuel and Dorothy in Canada. They responded, ended up staying at our home, and blessed this young christian couple immeasurably.You would love this book if you can find it.
