When we placed our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, God placed us into a spiritual union with him. Our old sinful nature is to be reckoned as crucified with Christ on the cross. When he was resurrected to new life, we were raised up with him spiritually to walk or live in newness of life. Christ is now sitting at the right hand of God, a place of blessing, dignity, honor and authority. And according to Ephesians 2:6, God has "made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." That life and union with Christ is hidden--the world cannot see it, but it is real. And just as a compass always points north, our thoughts, feelings and attitudes should be focused on who we are, what we have and what we will be through Jesus Christ. When Christ "who is our life" appears, then we will also appear with him in glory!
