Over the last year, Leif Becken has gone from being a lonesome bartender living in the cheapest studio apartment he could find, to moving in with his two fantastic and loving boyfriends-best pupper Tucker, and romance bear Rahul. Along the way, he's discovered how to harness his inborn spiritmancer powers, learned to craft a collection of enchanted potions, and made himself indispensable as a magical consultant for a problem-solving agency.
Oh, sure, there's been some challenges along the way, like learning how to make a polyamorous relationship work, how to clean muddy paw prints out of silk vests, and the dismay of finding out that he's now spoiled to minute microwave dinners, but since nobody is currently possessed, kidnapped, hospitalized, or heart-broken, he's hopeful that things should finally be settling down.
Unfortunately, it seems that Leif has drawn the attention of the same noble sorceress who's instigated multiple disasters recently in Minnesota. Even with his newfound powers and backed by the efforts of the local Department of Mythic Affairs-not to mention the personal attentions of his overprotective shifter and djinn boyfriends-Leif might not be safe from her machinations. The only saving grace is that the sorceress seems to want something from him, and probably won't turn him into a fancy doorstop, at least not until he's done her the favor... which he'll get right on, as soon as he figures out what it is.
Chosen Spirits is a low-angst, M/M/M polyamorous paranormal romance about the dangers of eating popsicles too fast, platonically massaging your friend's backside, extinguishing fires so you don't get eaten by the forest leviathan, handling rude party crashers in ways that don't involve banishing them to the moon, and the importance of being true to yourself.
