The title of this book is Chords and Scales for Rock Guitar but it really applies to any genre that you might wish to play. Included in the chord section are over 1200 chords illustrated with clear fretboard diagrams along with explanations of the musical theory behind chord voicings. This section has open chords, major and minor chords, seventh cords and many others. The scale section breaks scales down into easy to use "Hand Boxes". These are 5 or 6 fret sections of a chords that you can easily memorize. This is how I learned to use scales thirty years ago so I can tell you that it works. And there is also more musical theory to explain how these scales are arranged.
