Within the stories, it introduces important historical figures and events, and is accompanied by color cartoon illustrations. It also features small columns such as "Knowledge Cards," "Famous Quotes," and "Idioms in the Stories," making it easy for young readers to learn about daily life, scientific and technological achievements, literature and art, historical evaluations, idiom stories, and other rich traditional cultural knowledge of each era. Some stories also include a "What Do You Think?" section, encouraging young readers to think actively and bravely express their own views. Chinese Historical Stories (Qing Dynasty) uses 18 typical historical stories to help readers understand the trajectory of the Qing Dynasty's historical development, including how Emperor Kangxi put down the Revolt of the Three Feudatories, Lin Zexu's opium destruction, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, the Sino-Japanese Naval Battle of the Yellow Sea, and the Eight-Nation Alliance's invasion of China, among others. In addition, the book introduces traditional cultural knowledge of the Qing Dynasty, such as its distinctive forms of address, classic works like Dream of the Red Chamber and the Kangxi Dictionary, and the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou.
