Beijing, June 1957) is Deputy Director of the Institute of Political Science at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Director of the Department of Political Science at the CASS Graduate School. A long-time scholar of political science, his research focuses on the theory and practice of democratic politics and the political socialization of youth. He currently directs several major studies, including a CASS flagship project on socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics and a commissioned study on political risk assessment for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. 房宁，1957年6月生于北京市。现任中国社会科学院政治学研究所副所长，中国社会科学院研究生院政治学系主任。 长期从事政治学教学与研究工作。主要研究领域：民主政治的理论与实践问题、青少年的政治社会化问题等。目前正在主持的研究课题有：中国社会科学院重大课题"中国特色社会主义民主政治研究"，北京奥组委委托༿
