Clash of Civilizations ?

These two great civilizations come together for thousands of years in trade and friendship. Both suffered in the guns of Western Powers in the 19th Century in humiliation. Both have the determination and confidence to restore the former glory of greatness. China and Iran came together in the past years since the latter days of the Shah. This is a scholarly book documenting their relationship against the West, especially US. The chapters are long and historical with many details in direct quotes. Professor Garver did a good job in getting all this in a fine researched book. Reading the Sino-Islamic connection helps understand the current status and situation and the balance of power, especially creates the most fear question of clash of civilizations against the West. This book may help understand Professor Huntington's thesis of civilizational clash.
