About the Author
Grandpa Russ' main community involvement is volunteering with an organization that provides his spiritual teachings on love and daily living. The organization is called Eckankar. His main hobby is writing; he has written and published poetry and children's stories and is working on several novels.
Grandpa Russ has special interests in being surrounded by nature. He loves animals, both domestic and wild, and finds that sometimes animals can teach us humans more about unconditional love than we get from other humans. Family is very important; they teach us how to survive in society, they see us grow, they see our flaws, and yet they love us despite our worldly shames.
Grandpa Russ took special interest in writing during his college years. He developed his craft and impressed his instructors with his writing abilities. For many years he let his writing go untouched but one day late in life said to himself that the time had come to write. He began writing poetry, moved into writing children's stories, and then took up writing novels.
