The work deals with children from families with alcohol problems. The aim is to provide an overview of the relationship between alcoholic parents and their children and how it is shaped, and to look at child development against this background. The work is divided into two main areas. On the one hand, it consists of a literature review on theoretical contexts and, on the other, of the application of the theory presented in interviews. Four interviews were conducted in this regard. These do not represent an empirical investigation in the sense of providing evidence, but are intended to serve as a practical illustration of the theory discussed. These focal points are used to draw conclusions with regard to social work.
