You hold in your hand the first omnibus edition of Sunday-size crossword puzzles from the Chicago Tribune , edited by Wayne Robert Williams. These 250 crosswords capture the flavor of Chicago perfectly-some are contemporary, some are traditional, and most fall somewhere in the middle. The puzzles are written by constructors all over the country, from California, Illinois, Massachusetts, and all points in between. In other words, they are as wonderfully diverse as Chicago itself
The Chicago Tribune Sundays are my favorite crossword puzzle. They are interesting, moderate difficulty, and fun. There is a theme to each puzzle. Once you figure out just what's up with the theme, it's fairly easy to get the longer answers. This collection of 250 puzzles is a great deal. I've paid about the same for a book of 50 of these.

The Chicago Tribune's crosswords are rated as medium fare for crossword devotees. They're not too easy but quite eclectic in word scope. Nearly every crossword will try to trip you up, but persevere "me crossword hearty's" for Wayne Robert Williams has edited a neat bunch of sunday puzzlers for your pleasure.
