Richie Stevens and Sandy Smith's relationship has moved on since Richie asked his secretary to become his partner, both professionally and personally. During their first holiday together in Italy they meet Sophie, a friend of Sandy's, whose brother Carter Blake, a prominent forensic scientist, is being accused of murdering his fianc e, in spite of the fact that no body has been found.
