Book Overview

"Heartstopper" meets "Heated Rivalry" in the first volume of Ngozi Ukazu's New York Times-bestselling graphic novel series

Eric Bittle has been a junior figure skating champion, a vlogging sensation, and a talented amateur p tissier--but nothing could have prepared him for freshman year on the Samwell University hockey team. College hockey is a whole new game, with hard checks, intense practices, and one very attractive--but moody--team captain: Jack.

Check, Please : #Hockey collects the first half of Ngozi Ukazu's beloved webcomic series, a hilarious, heartwarming coming-of-age story about hockey, friendship, and taking a chance on love. This edition features updated artwork and a curated selection of Bitty's most memorable tweets.

Perfect for fans of Heartstopper and Heated Rivalry, this is a story about sports, broships, and finding love in the most unexpected places.

Ngozi, my queen

I read this as it was posted online issue by issue over the course of several years, and I'm not even lying when I say it changed my life. I now work in professional sports and have found a truly incredible group of friends, and it all circles back to reading Check, Please!. Eric Bittle, you are everything to me. Queer hockey family for life!

Amazing Fantastic Read It

A very good book would love to let my teen read (it's me, I'm the teen). In all seriousness, though this series is lovely. I first read it while it was coming out online and kept up with it till the end. It is heartwarming and emphasizes friendship and family. Also, like incredibly significant as a queer person who plays sports.

great story

wonderful plot & characters i definitely recommend giving it a try
