Following the collapse of the JDSta r and Arsion promotions, World Wonder Ring Stardom was born at a press conference in September of 2010 as a result of the partnership between former- AJW co-producer Hiroshi 'Rossy' Ogawa, former-wrestler and mixed martial artist Fuka Kakimoto, and WWWA World Champion and wrestling veteran Nanae Takahashi. Built initially around, amongst others, former-gravure idol Yuzuki Aikawa, the promotion would run its first show - Birth of Nova - at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring on the 23rd January 2011. As the years have elapsed, Stardom have religiously managed to produce and house some of the most prestigious female wrestlers. As a result, the company have not only managed to place themselves firmly in the conversation as the premier destination for women's wrestling, but have garnered an extensive portfolio of breath-taking matches; some well-known and others criminally overlooked!
