Chasing Spondulix: A Hunt for Lost Confederate Gold

By Eric J Dillman

A hidden journal leads to a modern hunt for lost Confederate gold.

When Kelly McLaurin purchases an old farmhouse in rural North Carolina, she expects peeling paint and long-overdue repairs. Instead, she discovers a journal concealed inside the house, along with clues tied to one of the South's most enduring mysteries.

Kelly turns to Henry, a resourceful local handyman who knows more than he first lets on. Greg, a history enthusiast with a talent for solving puzzles, soon joins the search. What begins as curiosity brings the three of them closer as they follow the trail across North Carolina and Virginia, learning to rely on one another along the way.

Each discovery pulls them deeper into the legend, but they soon realize they are not the only ones searching. Someone else is following the same clues and is willing to do whatever it takes to reach the treasure first.

Set against real locations and Southern history, Chasing Spondulix is a fast-moving treasure adventure about friendship, trust, and a secret that proves far more dangerous than the gold they're chasing.
