Bounty hunter Will Johnson has chased plenty of fugitives, but none like Joe Nathan-a barefoot bail jumper whose very name is a bad pun nobody seems to get right. What starts as a simple job spirals into a whirlwind of thrills, suspense, and absurd comedy, as Will tracks Joe through dive bars, chicken shacks, strip clubs, train yards, and crowded city streets.
Everywhere Joe goes, chaos follows-lost shoes, cornbread crumbs, and a trail of bewildered "Johnathans" who swear they know him. But the deeper Will digs, the clearer it becomes: Joe isn't just running. He's performing-turning his flight into a legend, with Will cast as the unwilling straight man in his act.
Caught between laughter and gunfire, Will must decide if he's chasing a fugitive... or a ghost built out of puns, props, and pure madness.
One thing's certain: nobody forgets Joe Nathan.
