Very Impressive First Novel

I received this book for Christmas and finished it in a day. It was surprisingly well written for a first novel. The plot was fantastic and made it impossible to put down. There were unexpected twists and while the ending was expected, it wasn't overly "happily ever after". I read lots and lots of books, and books of this genre are my favorite. Specifically those by Baldacci, Grisham, Flynn, Meltzer. I will definitely read Mr. Malone's next book.

A friend recommended this book to me since it is a genre I enjoy. I loved this exciting fast-paced thriller. Hurry up and write another....I can't wait to see what else Mr. Malone has in store for Jake Hunter!

Loved the Chase!!

This book was extremely enjoyable, a page turner that had me on the edge of my seat! I am not a big reader and usually don't make it past chapter 2, but this book captivated me from page one. A thrilling story filled with action and intrigue.

A Gripping Tale of Mystery, Intrigue, and Sexual Exploration

I had never heard of this author before, but I found myself alone on a commuter train between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan when I found a copy of this book lying in the seat beside me. I later came to find out that Mr. Malone is the Jackie Collins of the former Soviet Republics (mainly the southern states), a real celebrity and national hero of sorts. Go figure. The book itself is a free flowing yet passionate piece of literature that tickles your senses like a dirty Czech hooker. The twists and turns will certainly keep you on your toes, and just when you think you have it figured out, Mr. Malone punches you in the face with your own logic and leaves you basking in the greatness that is his own superior intellect and writing technique. I must say, my two week vacation in Uzbekistan was not what the brochure promised, but the copy of this book that I found on the train made it the best vacation I ever had. Two thumbs up for Chasing Hunter and its grizzled young author, Cort Malone. Here's hoping his Eastern Block success can translate into American greatness. I look forward to his future success.

Best Legal Thriller I've Ever Read

Chasing Hunter is fast-paced, exciting, full of intriguing characters, and rife with plot twists - the perfect page turner. Better than Patterson or Grisham in my opinion. Malone is a fresh new voice and writes with a zeal that is evident from page one. The writing is so adept, I quickly felt a familiarity with the characters in the story, as if I had known them for a long time. I can't wait for the sequel.
