Cozy and fun!

While I am sad this was on the first book and I am going to need to find out if Talia will ever make it home or if she can find a place in this strange new world of magic, awakened animals, giant angels who are mostly good and rule over all with the power of the stars and a certain handsome runner, I am glad I did get a chance to listen to this tale. Yes, this pretty much is a cozy fantasy with plenty of sweet moments, some danger, but also friends found and even an awesome cat that is more than meets the eye. Talia is an easily likable character with her optimistic attitude despite her situation and Jarrett is totally crushworthy and sweet and I do admit I really liked his viewpoint (and his squirrel!). Lots of interesting characters and I think I would want to visit this world (though on a quiet time without bad angels, rock trolls, or other monsters on the prowl!). This was a fun audiobook to listen to with Lauren Amanda doing a great job in bringing Talia, Jarrett and their intriguing magical world to life. I hope the next book comes out soon so I can see what happens next, especially after all the excitement that happens in this one!
