Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be immortal? Well, let me tell you, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Not that I'm technically immortal; I can die after all. It's not that I'm a god or anything. Though, now that I think about it, gods aren't actually immortal either... Anyway.

My name is Charles Vefferlin, and I work for a company owned by one of the three Fate sisters, CLA LCC. My branch, located in Boston, is responsible for making beings-human or not-deemed fated to be together to fall in love. Oh, and if you haven't already put it together, I'm a Cupid. Now, before your sad meat sack of a brain starts building an image right away. No, I don't look like that. And no, I don't shoot magical arrows, making beings instantly fall in love with one another. I do look like a normal human being, despite being several millenniums old, and I do make beings fall in love with each other. But it's nothing like how you would imagine. Hell, it wasn't until a certain assignment in Maine that things began to get weird, even for me. And that is saying something because, let me tell you, I have seen some crazy stuff in my life. But, I suppose I'll let you find that out for yourself.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I could really use a drink... You'll see why
