Charlie Card is about the emotional journey of a twenty-year-old homeless boy living in Boston, falling in love for the first time. The story centers around Charlie's relationships with three people: Liam, an Irish immigrant with a troubled past; Sarah, a beautiful homeless girl he meets at a soup kitchen and falls in love with; and Kain, a street bully with dangerous feelings for Sarah.They travel with Charlie on his journey from an abused child with feelings of worthlessness, to a young man using his native intelligence to survive on the streets. Along the way, they help him understand that he is worthy of love, and that love is worth any risk. Charlie provides a personal account of the harsh realities of life on the streets, and shows that love runs deeper when it's the only thing left.
