Ghostly Haunts Indeed! Great Little Book!

I've read nearly every book written regarding the haunts of Charleston and I must say this is one of my favorites. Cathy Picken's takes you on a 159 page journey that never lets you go. Concise and straight to the point she delivers. The first part of the book is set up like a walking tour of the city. She guides you through 26 points of interest through out the city, telling you about the spooks and the history behind them. What a great read and even better tour. Now you can check out these points of interest on your own. They are: 139 Market Street Market Street @ Charleston Place St. Philip's Graveyard, Church Street (one of my favorite locales in the city) The Pirate House Dock Street Theatre The Pink House Wagener Bldg Old Exhange and Provost Dungeon (another fav) Cabbage Row Thomas Rose House Murder of Mrs. Ravenel at Mtg and Water Streets 37 and 39 Meeting Street Daniel Huger House, 34 Meeting Street Perroneau House White Point Gardens (another fav) Simmons-Edwards House 31 Legare Street Sword Gates Gate Posts, 131 Tradd Street John Stewart House on Tradd Street Walled Gardens St. Michael's Rectory, Meeting Street St. Michael's Churchyard Courthouse The Streetcar Murder, Meeting Street Poogan's Porch Yep, these are the locales, buy the book for the stories. It's well worth it....trust me. The second half of the book deals with Charleston's Past. For 159 pages, this book packs a punch. Highly Recommended!
