An incredible ride that I'm not ready to have end

** This is the second installment in a series. You need to read the first book to understand everything that’s going on (and it’s so worth it too!)** In the second installment of The Divine Articles, Rhen faces a daunting challenge: rescuing her mother from the clutches of the Driech. Despite intense training with the Wilde Hunt, hope wanes as leads on her mother's whereabouts remain elusive. When Baz reappears, consumed by darkness, Rhen confronts her past demons while navigating conflicting emotions for Elm. Aware that her choices impact not just her friends but the world at large, Rhen grapples with the realization that her happiness might be a luxury she can't afford. Will she save her mother and halt the encroaching chaos? Ratings: 1. **Plot and Storytelling:** 5/5 I was captivated by this spot. It gripped me right from the start, and despite finding her frustrating at times, I wouldn't change a thing. 2. **Characterization:** 5/5 The characters were meticulously developed throughout the story. I relished the introduction of new characters and witnessing the evolution of our old favorites. 3. **Writing Style:** 5/5 I adored the writing style; it was superb. It took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that I won't soon forget. 4. **Originality:** 5/5 This story is unlike anything I've ever read before. To put it simply, it's completely original. 5. **Emotional Impact and Resolution:** 5/5 This book evoked a myriad of emotions from me; laughter, tears, and frustration. The ending left me craving for more—I need book 3 immediately. 6. **Smut:** 4/5 While the attention to detail was evident, it leaned more towards frustration than enjoyment. It was decent, but the resolution left something to be desired. Overall score: 4.83/5 If you like this book, the obvious suggestion is that you read ACOTAR by Sarah J Maas. If you’re looking for something different, I suggest you try Powerless by Lauren Roberts or the Covenant series by Jennifer L Armentrout.
