When her gay best friend Kevin is run over by an ice cream truck, he comes back to visit her as an angel. Kevin runs into Robert in heaven, even though Kevin is in the Cow angel section and Robert is in the Rock star section. Kevin convinces Robert to take Emma on as his human assistant in his effort to save small children from catastrophes. The hapless Emma is sent on wild missions and adventures that go comically wrong. She's never the same after this. She is finally living.
