She gives us these stories not as an alternative to masculine images but to help us see the need for balance of the masculine and feminine. In the process she also explores aspects of the negative and the positive feminine.Sheila Moon does not simply retell the stories though, but instead integrates them with the dreams and experiences of modern day people.
