Later he discovered that he had contracted AIDS from one of the blood transfusions, which one he didn't know. Tim, Brain and others planned a heist of the armored car after he picked up money from Tim's bank. To make it seem real, it was agreed that Brian would be killed in the heist. He had wanted to commit suicide after he learnedthat he had AIDS. Killing him in the heist would serve that purpose. It was agreed that his share of the loot would be given to his wife, Lori. Tim absconded with the loot after the heist and refused to give anything to Lori. Lori threathen-ed to expose Tim with the tape Brian made implicating Tim in the heist.
