Challenges are Bridges and Ladders: An alternative look at the difficulties we face in our daily life

By Rev. Dr. Gerson Mgaya

The main argument of this book is that challenges, difficult moments and disappointments, from whatever source they may come, are part of life in this world. Whether we like or not, we will face them now and then. For some of us, these are great opportunities, because once challenges are over, they become better than ever. But for others, challenges push them down and it seems they will remain fallen. The author of this book argues that, if one approaches challenges negatively, they will remain to be challenges, and will certainly challenge him and even make him stumble. But, if one approaches them positively, challenges will receive a new name. They will no long be challenges, but rather bridges to cross over and ladders through which one can climb and see what others do not see. Based on this attitude, this book is given the title Challenges are Bridges and Ladders: An alternative look at the difficulties we face in our daily lifeIn fourteen chapters, the author presents different examples through which he argues how one can view challenges and any other daunting situation as bridges to help him cross the other side. Although most of examples are biblical based examples, the book is helpful to all folks regardless of their age, education levels, cultural backgrounds and social positions. It is the book that will change one's attitude and world view concerning any form of challenges.
