This is the sweetest book I've read, recounting the adventures of Bevie's human "pack" and their newest animal companion, a four-month-old wolf, and how he bonds with her husband and children, as well as their cat, 200-pound Great Danes, and chimpanzees, racoons, skunks, and other unusual animals. It's entertaining, but sweet and sad, recounting the losses that Chakka and his pack had.
A verry good book which tells a lot about a wolf as a pet

When I started to read the book, I knew little about wolves. This book showed that wolves are not those bad animals at all. I've learned a lot about the character of wolves by this book. The book is verry nice to read
Touching, shows wolves are more than some people think

This is one of my FAVORITE books! It was very touching. This book shows that wolves aren't blood thirsty monsters, but are just as caring as compassionate as humans can be. Through the example of Chakka, we can see how much wolves care for their "pack", their intelligence, loyalty, and beauty. After reading this book I hope to read Chakka: My Wolf Child also.
